The devastation of typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda in the Philippines has hit close to home because it touched down close to my mother’s hometown on the Visayan Islands. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone feeling the effects of the typhoon. I’ve been looking for places to donate, and I will most likely go through Shelter Box again, as I did to help with Japan back in 2011 (original post here).
