Back to School

Check out my niece, Mei-Lin…how absolutely cool is she?  She’s always wearing my shoes and we love to do our nails together.  Yes it’s true, she has watched me take many an outfit picture, so I know many of these poses are compliments of moi.  But really, she is just a natural.  This is the outfit she wore on the first day of school this week (2nd grade), and she is on point with being “Rocker Chic”.  Mei-Lin is as smart as she is beautiful, and saying I’m a proud aunt is an understatement.

Clever Cousins

I love how close my son and niece are.  Even though they bicker every now and again, they are quite the clever cousins!  Whether they’re having a staring contest or just running around together at the playground in the local mall, Mei-Lin and Dominic adorable together.  Hope you had a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Mei-Lin!

This post is dedicated to my niece Mei-Lin who turns 5 today. She is as dramatic as she is beautiful. One of her older cousins asked her during Thanksgiving if she has any ugly poses. She responded, “I only have pretty poses!” A girl who takes after her auntie. Her party theme this year will be The Beatles. Yes, you read that right (she can sing all the lyrics to “Yellow Submarine”).

First Time at the Spa

I’ve been waiting for the day that I could take my niece to the day spa to get our nails done.  That day has arrived!  Mei-Lin has been talking about this day for the whole week, so we made a lunch date out of it.  My sister and I try to make sure we spend time together with our kids, and we had such a great time.  We kept it close by going to Happy Nails at our local mall.  Click on any picture to enlarge.  I hope you enjoy our day in pictures as much as we did!
