Old Navy

IMG_4042 (3) (990x1280) - Sepia

When I bought this sweater, it immediately reminded me of my father and old pictures of him when he was in the navy.  I decided to really do up the outfit and I came up with something that made me feel like a vintage sailor girl, circa 1920′s to 1940′s.  Then my sister and I went out to Harbor Drive near Downtown San Diego, so that we could have pictures with The USS Midway in the background.  It was a beautiful day, which really made the pictures even more like the ones in our dad’s old photo albums, especially with the sepia color.  I miss my dad, and it’s nice when we can pay some homage to him in small ways.

Wow Cy! Looking excellent in this mod-sailor outfit! That first photo absolutely exudes a vintage flair with the sepia tone! Love to see a zoom shot of that pendant, it looks like it’s fab! /Madison

Wow! This is probably my favorite photoshoot of yours, ever!! I absolutely love the outfit and the oh-so-appropriate setting. Plus, the editing you did on the photos just completes the look!

I have a soft spot for sailors- ok the sailor outfits, and your sweater is a keeper! Best of all, you’ve created an outfit that makes rooms for warm memories- so that they live on a little longer. Lovely lovely look!

Thanks Bella! I have the same soft spot, and for both reasons! Since I was little, I have had some form of sailor sweater or shirt, and I know it’s the influence of my father.

      xoxo
