If you recall, I posted about a contest not too long ago where you can win a Furla Candy Bag from Duty Free City’s Facebook page (original post here)? Well, I won! I completely wasn’t expecting to win, but I’m so glad I did, because the bag is adorable. The contest is still open until October 22, 2014 so click on the link in this post for the details on how to win. Additionally, their store is beautiful and they have a grand opening on November 6, 2014 (flier on their Facebook page). I’ll be there (with my Furla Candy Bag). Hope to see you there, cheers!

Fall Fashion in the Valley on September 25, 2014
Tomorrow, September 25, 2014, Fashion Valley Mall presents Fall Fashion in the Valley, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the Center Court, near Macy’s (I attended this event last year, post here). This year, they will present two unique runway shows at 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. In between each runway show, lululemon athletica will present a performance featuring ArcoYoga, which is a blend of yoga, acrobatics, performance and healing art.
In-store parties, exclusive discounts and interactive pop-up make-up, styling and fitness demonstrations will be happening throughout for the duration of this fantastic event,. Additionally, the first 250 attendees who register an email at the event will receive a swag bag filled with all kinds of Fashion Valley discounts, coupons and goodies. One luck winner will be randomly selected to win a $500 Simon gift card and will have a one of a kind shopping spree and make-over styling session with Fashion Valley’s newest team of personal shoppers!
Finally, kicking off the season of giving, attendees who make a $10 donation to Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego will receive a Fashion Pass for savings, which is valid through the weekend at designated stores at Fashion Valley.

"Back To School" Discount from Paul Fredrick!
After attending a few fashion shows already this year, it’s fun to think about what I have to look forward to during the fall when the temperature drops. It’s that time of year where I start to layer not only pieces of clothing, but also start to incorporate more textures and deeper colors into my wardrobe. I’ve noticed in the last few fall seasons, my husband has started paying more attention to his wardrobe as well. He’s brought in more sweaters, dress shirts and ties to his routine, which has me watching more trends in men’s clothing. I’ve been seeing on the runway and reading about colors like blues, greens and greys as well as layering and mixing patterns.
Paul Fredrick is a clothing company that was founded 25 years ago, specializing in dress shirts, but expanding their product line due to its growing number of satisfied customers. The folks at Paul Fredrick have offered readers of Any Second Now a special “Back to School” discount in their dress shirts section. Use code EDU15D at check out, you can get a 20% off discount of purchases $150 or more, which is also available to use for the rest of the year! Thank you all at Paul Fredrick for this great fall and winter offer!

With Dominic in school, I’m finding myself busier than ever, so I’ll be posting several catch up posts. Here are some photos from the lululemon athletica grand opening at Fashion Valley a couple of weeks ago, which included a lovely brunch at True Food Kitchen. After the fantastic meal, we were treated to a sneak peek of the new store, which was full of fashionable ways to get you moving.
Thank you Fashion Valley, lululemon and True Food Kitchen for a lovely morning!

Neiman Marcus Fall Trends 2014 Brunch
A couple of weeks ago, bloggers were invited to a return brunch to preview Neiman Marcus’ Fall Trends for 2014 (I attended last year’s event, post here). Styled once again by Alex Yanez, we were treated to a wonderful selection of outfits sure to inspire fashionistas everywhere. A nice surprise for this show was the inclusion of menswear. Rather than a narrative, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, which will feature my favorites. Thank you again Neiman Marcus for another fantastic preview event!

Step Into Comfort: Kushyfoot Review
I have been on the hunt for the perfect foot covers (AKA shoe liners, peds, footies, “not socks”, etc) for some time now. My issue with them is that they never stay put, or when they do, they show! When I was approached to review Kushyfoot products, I hoped for the best and that my search for the perfect little foot cover finally would end. I can say without a doubt, my search is over!
As you can see, Kushyfoot’s Ultra Low Cut foot covers offer just enough coverage for your toes, but also have a “non slip” backing, ensuring that the foot cover stays put both ways. As for the “cushy” part, there is padding right at the ball of the foot, providing all day comfort. I wore these with sneakers and flats to work all day for two days, and I didn’t have to adjust them. The price point is also affordable, and retails for approximately $3.99 a pair ($23.97 for 6 pairs). This is well worth it for all of the cute flats coming out for fall!
Kushyfoot not only offers foot covers, but a variety of hosiery, including knee highs, tights, socks, and their Flats to Go® (pictured below). They are not intended for long distance use, but definitely would be great for the end of one of those long evenings out, where you just want a bit of relief from your heels. They fold and fit right into its little convenient purse pack to grab and go!
If you like what you see, you can find Kushyfoot products on their official site, and please also follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Thanks again Kushyfoot for these wonderful products, and for ending my search for the perfect foot cover!

Meet Me at the Corner of 9th & Elm!
I was recently introduced to a great site called 9th & Elm (“Handmade, independent, or otherwise cool™”). If you are a regular reader of Any Second Now, you know I’m in full support of anything and everything independent and local, so 9th & Elm is right up my alley! The founders of 9th & Elm, Clay and Elly Bethune, started their site back in 2013, wanting to provide their members with fashionable clothing and accessories that they have curated from some of the best handmade and independent designers.
I spent many an hour marveling through the fantastically fashionable items on 9th & Elm, and found three items that I fell in love with (all pictured below). I can’t wait to share with you the fun outfit posts for each of the items, which I will post up in the next few weeks. Since the weekend is coming up and July 4th is just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to shop handmade and independent on 9th & Elm!
This bracelet reminds me of my father, who was in the US Navy (and matches my tattoo). It almost looks vintage!
Tan and Black Anchor Arm Party Bracelet
This t-shirt is hand painted by the designer. You can choose whatever phrase you want, and I chose what was pictured on the site. Cute and funny!
Choose Your Own Short Phrase Ladies Notebook Paper Graphic© – T-Shirt
I love this Stripe Chiffon Dress because it can be dressed up or down. It looks great with sandals, as well as heels and a blazer!
