The Horse’s Mouth: Cy Curnin’s New Album

Cy Curnin Collage 1

This seems to be a week filled with music!  It started off with my account of The Postal Service concert, and today’s post will be about Cy Curnin’s newest solo effort called The Horse’s Mouth.  I’ve had this album for a while because I’m a “Production Associate”, which means I signed up early enough during the pre-sale of the album that my name appears in the liner notes and on Cy’s site as an album sponsor.  Out of respect for Cy and all of the people who worked hard on this album, we were asked to wait to share this fantastic album until they were ready to put it out to the larger market.  Now that the album is officially on sale on the Cy Curnin and The Fixx websites (iTunes and Amazon as well), I feel confident in sharing my thoughts on one of my favorite new albums this year.

I’ve always loved The Fixx.  Cy’s voice is so distinct and known to me because that group was a part of my teen years and they were a fixture on every alternative station I listened to growing up, and even now on Resurrection Sunday on 91X and 1st Wave on Sirius XM.  I knew he released works without The Fixx over the years, but this is my first time purchasing one of his solo albums.  The Horse’s Mouth feels like a combination of old and new, modern and retro.  I know in my heart that this is new music, but some of it feels so familiar in songs like “Bubble”, “Strange Ways”, “Before the Day is Out” and “Light in The Darkest Hour”.  They remind me very much of The Fixx and are part of my top six favorite songs on the album.  “Why Why Baby” and “All Over” are both energetic and modern sounding.  I can completely picture myself in a night club, listening to remixes of these songs over pulsating speakers.  There is also quite a mix of style and genre in songs like “Karma Mama” (jazz), “Been There Done That” (spoken word, almost rap!), “Belladonna” (rock), and “Joy” (salsa/latino).  But my runaway favorites on the whole album are “Celebrating” and “The Good in You”.  “Celebrating” is so incredibly upbeat, that I found myself dancing in my car to this enthusiastic anthem.  “The Good In You” is a wonderful duet featuring Canadian singer Jann Arden.  This song has been on repeat since I received the album.  It’s groovy, soulful, catchy and just altogether…good!  I am honored to be among the other “Production Associates” as a part of Cy Curnin’s latest solo effort.  Cy should be proud of this album!

Such Great Heights: The Postal Service in Concert

IMG_5396 (2) (1280x1280)

A couple of weekends ago as a belated anniversary date night out, my hubby and I went to dinner, then saw The Postal Service in concert at the Open Air Theatre, on the campus of San Diego State University.  Before we met, both my husband and I coincidentally bought the Give Up album separately back in 2003.  If you are unfamiliar with the band, The Postal Service is vocalist Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie, producer Jimmy Tamborello of Dntel and Headset, Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley and indie rock musician, Jen Wood.  For this tour, they are joined by Laura Burhenn instead of Jen Wood.  Give Up is one of my favorite albums, and I was lucky that tickets were still available for the tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of the album’s release.

There were two opening acts:  Baths and Big Freedia.  Baths was first, and I found their sound very compatible with The Postal Service, so it made sense that they would be an opener.  A spectacular surprise was Big Freedia, the queen diva extraordinaire from New Orleans.  If Hollywood from the movie Mannequin and Lafayette of True Blood had melded together in some alternate universe, you would have Big Freedia.  I loved her set, but I’m certain she surprised many a Postal Service fan because I suspect many of them didn’t expect to see and hear bumpin’-booty-shakin’-bounce-hip hop.  The crowd reaction was mostly positive, although a group behind us was really taken aback and one of them kept proclaiming how offended she was.  I found Big Freedia and her twerkin’ lovelies fun and entertaining, and I wasn’t lying when I told her crew who interviewed me for a documentary that I would definitely grab a CD or two after the show.  I’ll be sure to post it here if I make the final cut!

The Postal Service took the stage right around 8:30pm, and they did not disappoint.  I want to say they sounded just like their album, but they actually sounded better.  They performed all the songs from the Give Up album, plus four additional tracks and two covers (set list below).  The stage lighting was dynamic, yet simple and beautiful, allowing the music to be the focus.  We didn’t stay for the entire concert, missing the encore.  Being that we didn’t take the following Monday off, we wanted to beat the traffic and get home to rest.  We both were happy to hear the songs we wanted (“Nothing Better“, “Sleeping In” and “Such Great Heights“), so we didn’t mind if we missed a couple of songs.  It still made for a very nice evening out.  Hope you had a great weekend!

The 25th Anniversary of 101 by Depeche Mode (And Why it Still Hurts)

DSC01638 (2) (1280x1280)

Yesterday was the 25th anniversary of Depeche Mode’s 101 concert, held on June 18th, 1988 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.  It was the last stop of their Music for The Masses tour, and although I had already gone to a show during that tour in San Diego, I needed to attend this one because it was announced this would be a very special concert filmed by D.A. Pennebaker, the same director of U2’s Rattle and Hum.  It proved to be a great show because Thomas Dolby and OMD were set to open.  As a devoted fan, of course I bought a ticket straight away and was all ready to go.  But because of traditional Filipino superstitions, my mom and dad were afraid of my travelling to see a show right before a big event: my high school graduation.  Needless to say, they vetoed my trip.  I begged, pleaded, wrote heart-felt letters and cried, but to no avail.  I ended up selling my ticket to my friend Aaron, who said that if my situation ever changed I could just say the word and the ticket was mine again.  Aaron, along with my friends Robby and Brad even made a last-ditch effort to come by my house on the way up to Pasadena to convince my parents to let me go, but they just couldn’t be swayed.  I found out later that the most casual of Depeche Mode fans from my high school were there.  I truly felt like everyone went, except for me.

I listened longingly to 91X that day, hearing updates and live feeds from the Rose Bowl, wishing I was listening to updates by Richard Blade on KROQ for the real deal.  I silently roamed around the house like I was lost.  Finally, my mom convinced me to go shopping, and she bought me several Depeche Mode records and CDs, all to satiate me but it just wasn’t enough.  My fate was sealed, and I would not be a part of history in the making.

DSC01639 (2) (1280x1024)

For someone who relives those moments at odd times, like when we’re driving on the 101 in Los Angeles, I sure have quite a bit of memorabilia of that day.  I think Robby brought me back the shirt pictured above.  Later when the movie was complete, I still went to a showing here in San Diego because I still wanted to be a part of it, even thought I wasn’t really a part of it originally.  I had strategically placed Depeche Mode stickers all over the back of my little red Honda Civic hatchback back then, and returned from the movie to love notes with phone numbers from other fangirls, who I’m sure hoped the car belonged to some cool British guy.  I should have had one of my guy friends call them back for shits and giggles, but I wasn’t that cruel at that time.  In fact, I suppose I could have lied to my parents back then as well, telling them I was just going to hang out with friends and just went to the concert, but I was just too innocent and honest back then.

DSC01641 (2) (1280x1280)

So here I am, 25 years later, still a bit bitter.  I think it’s why I made sure to have my name in the Talk Talk book and in the liner notes of Cy Curnin’s new album, because it makes up for not being a part of one of the biggest moments in Depeche Mode’s history.  I mentioned in a previous post (here) why I didn’t pick the Music for The Masses tour as one of my favorites because of the 101 concert being a sore spot for me.  Despite the sting in my brooding heart, I have included the set list of the San Diego date of the Music for the Masses tour, which I believe emulates the 101 concert.  I just noticed Just Can’t Get Enough is not in the second encore of the San Diego show, but it is in the 101 concert CD and movie.  They also played Somebody for the 101 concert, but they didn’t play it for the San Diego show.

I know it reads like sad memory, but it really is just a vivid memory.  It’s amazing what you can recall when there is enough emotion behind it, even when it’s 25 years later.

Check off yet another group on my 80’s bucket list: Janice and I got to see The Psychedelic Furs in concert!  Due to an epic fail on my part, I had tickets to their sold out show at The Belly Up on June 1st.  But because I wanted actual tickets rather than tickets printed from my computer, I thought I would wait until closer to the show to go to the venue to purchase real tickets.  Thank the retro gods that they were the headlining act for The Rock n Roll Marathon on June 2nd.  In an ironic twist, the show was FREE!  No ticket stubs from this show, but I did get my shirt.

Fresh faced with no make-up at 10am!

We arrived at our secret parking place at 10am and walked over to Petco Park, where the end of the race festivities were being held.  It was pretty crazy and hectic when we arrived.  I believe the half-marathon runners arrived as we got there, and I wish I got pictures of the crazy amount of people in the parking lot.  Once we got in, we made our way upstairs to search for the stage area.  After finding it, we made our way down and sat just a few rows away from the stage, which allowed me to take the amazing pictures in this post.  This had to be the earliest I had ever watched a concert in my life!  During the show, I spotted my friend Eileen and her sister, who actually ran in the marathon.  Realizing I was just there to see the show, I felt slightly inadequate.  I think I need to make running in a marathon also a part of my bucket list.

After a few celebratory congratulations to runners from all over the world, The Psychedelic Furs strolled up to the stage.  They played all the songs I had heard on 91x for so many years: “Heartbreak Beat”, “Heartbeat”, “Heaven”, and of course the hit from the movie, “Pretty In Pink”.  I know a lot of people think the song was made for the 1986 movie of the same name, but the song was actually a remixed version of their original from the album Talk Talk Talk back in 1981.

I wanted to make sure I got these signature moves from “Love My Way”.  See the original moves in the video here.

When my standout favorites “Love My Way” and “The Ghost In You” come on, I felt complete.  When I think of “Love My Way”, I think of the first time I heard it during the movie “Valley Girl” back in the 80’s.  When I was telling my husband that Janice and I were going to the show, he said he recognized that Furs song from “The Wedding Singer”, a movie about the 80’s.  What prompted me to really want to see the Furs was hearing the live version of “The Ghost In You” played on Friday’s Resurrection Daily on 91x.  Steve and Oz decided to play the song in honor of their Belly Up show, and mentioned that if you missed the show on Saturday, they have a free show at Petco Park.  At that point, I was on a mission to see that song live, and I’m so glad I did.  “The Ghost In You” is a gorgeous song that gives me goose-bumps each time I hear it, and just floored me to hear it live.  Richard Butler still sounds fantastic to this day, and I am so glad we woke up early on a Sunday to see this awesome show live.  Hope you had a great weekend!

Weekend in Pictures: Spicy Lamb & Broadway Punk

DSC01371 (1280x960)

Last Friday, I went out with the girls for dinner and a show: we had a light nosh at the God Save The Cuisine food truck followed by Green Day’s American Idiot: The Musical.  Janice had turned me onto the God Save The Cuisine food truck because she knows how much of an anglophile I am, and was sure we would enjoy their fresh British menu.  As we approached the red truck, I felt nostalgic for our trip last summer in London.  I know most of these trucks have a changing menu, so I was quite excited when I saw the spiced lamb was available because lamb also reminds me of London (lamb burgers).  The lamb was bursting with flavor and definitely had a kick to it.  Once I’m off of the Whole30, I’m want to find out GSTC’s next stop so I can try the Fish-n-Chips Taco, Big Ben Burger and the Eton Mess if it’s available (from the home page: “Eton mess” Light meringue crumbled churned with strawberry compote and sweetened vanilla cream).

(WARNING!  This next segment contains spoilers!)

We ended the night with American Idiot at the San Diego Civic Theatre.  The musical is based on Green Day’s 2004 album of the same name, and follows the lives of three men who are trying to escape their stifling suburban lifestyles.  It’s 90 minutes long with no intermission, and goes through all of the songs from the American Idiot album and some songs from 21st Century Breakdown.  The show is exciting with a fantastic stage set.  My favorite parts:  the heroin dance between Johnny and Whatshername; the songs “Holiday” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends”; and the very end where the entire cast sings “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)”.  I thought I considered that a spoiler, but even I knew as a casual Green Day fan that they would play that song somewhere!  One part that both Regi and I did not enjoy was the hallucination portion where Tunny is in a military hospital due to a leg injury.  With the excitement and drama of the rest of the story, the floating genie seemed out-of-place.  All in all, another fun night out with the girls.  Hope you had a great weekend!

I Won Tickets to a Damned Concert!

DSC01240 (2) (990x1280)

Chalk it up to good luck, but I won tickets to see The Damned in concert at Sycuan Casino’s Live & Up Close venue last Friday.  I had been trying to win tickets from radio station 91x all week.  I got through a couple of times, but I was either caller 2 or 3.  Last Thursday, deejays Oz and Steve West played my favorite song by The Damned called “Alone Again Or” (the single from my personal collection is pictured below), and something in me told me to try again.  Lo and behold, the planets aligned and I won!  I vowed this year to take my husband to see as many of my favorite bands from when I was a teen, and The Damned was on my bucket list of bands to see.  This is definitely outside of Deon’s musical taste or experience, but he was such a good sport and wanted to share this with me because he knows how much I love going to these types of concerts.DSC01360 (2) (1280x1280)

(Click the picture above for the video.)

Steve West introduced the band, and it was his birthday as well.  I saw him after the show, and he said that his birthday was actually Wednesday (I couldn’t remember if it was that past Wednesday or upcoming).   I have to admit that I only know a handful of songs by The Damned, so I didn’t recognize very much from the first few songs, other than “Neat Neat Neat”.  I’m more familiar with songs during the time of the Phantasmagoria and Anything albums, so I instantly recognized “Eloise” and “Grimly Fiendish” .  The highlight of the evening for me was of course “Alone Again Or” , which sounds even better than I could have imagined live.  When this came out back in 1987, I had no idea it was a cover version.  The original is by a band called Love, and The Damned version is very close to the original (video here).  The concert was a lot of fun and full of energy.  At one point, 91x deejay Mike Halloran hopped on stage to play bass (I forgot which song).  I feel the need to go back and familiarize myself with the rest of The Damned’s discography.  In the meantime, here are some pictures from the concert.  The set list below is from their House of Blues concert the previous day, but I believe it’s nearly exact to the show we attended.  Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend!

Weekend in Pictures: Record Store Day Food!

RSD 2013 Food Collage from Pink CandlesWho knew that our food adventures would be just as eventful as our fabulous finds during Record Store Day?  It’s not so hard to imagine when the adventures happen with a friend who is a food blogger!  As mentioned in last Monday’s post, here is part two of my Record Store Day adventure with CC of the blog Pink Candles at Ridgemont High (who provided photos for the mini-collage of moi above).  We started off the day very early by standing in line at Donut Bar in Downtown San Diego.  I can safely say that this is the first time that I have ever stood in line early just to get into a food establishment.  We left my house at 7:15 am and there were still people in front of us!  The picture below was taken after we had already been inside and then sat down across the street to enjoy one of our donuts (you can see a picture of our day in line on their Tumblr page here).

RSD 2013 Food Collage 1

RSD 2013 Food Collage 2I’m glad that the menu was posted because we got the chance to think about what we wanted prior to going in (they also post their menu daily on their official Facebook page).  Even then, walking past all of the donut goodness had me changing my mind several times before I made my final decision: German chocolate cake donuts for my husband and mum; a blood orange, a blueberry with meyer lemon glaze, a creme brulee and maple bacon bar all for myself.  CC selected the same ones, sans the maple bacon bar.  Needless to say, I ate the maple bacon bar straight away, but my runaway favorites were the blood orange and creme brulee.  The blood orange donut had a wonderful citrus glaze and the donut was so soft and fluffy.  The combination melted in my mouth.  The creme brulee one was a filled donut, and had the same crunchy candied sugar topping as a true creme brulee dessert, so it was like eating a handheld version.  Overall, quite a delicious start to our day!  We saved the rest of our donuts for later and at that point headed to the San Diego Record Show and then Groovy Records.  After our first two record stops, we headed to Pacific Beach (the M-Theory line was a bit too long).  I took the picture a row of bikes after we parked the car (below).  I just adore that mint and pink one.

Before we ventured into Thrift Trader and Cow Records, we had lunch at Papa Luna’s Empanadas, an establishment specializing in empanadas.  Being Filipina, both CC and I are very familiar with empanadas, but I’ve never had them like this.  CC had two empanadas:  a shrimp filled one (I don’t think it was on the menu pictured above) and one filled with butternut squash.  I had the special of the month, the Moussaka (lamb, eggplant, garlic and parmesan).  CC explained that you can have them either baked or fried, and she suggested fried, and I couldn’t have imagined having them any other way.  Because I usually have ones filled with beef and potato, the empanadas at Papa Luna’s were so flavorful and unexpected.  I will have to go back and bring my family and try the dessert empanadas.  That dulce de leche and apple one has my name written all over it!

DSC01027 (2) (1280x896)

RSD 2013 Food Collage 4CC suggested that we have dessert at Sugar & Scribe, an Irish bakery next door to Cow Records, which was our last food stop of the day.  Everything that I had at Sugar & Scribe was fabulous and oh-so-delicious.  CC bought a few desserts to take home and also had a quiche in the store.  Here were my goodies: the orange creamsicle and Grandpa Soapy’s lemon curd mini-cupcakes, a spicy ginger chew, a couple of mini sugar cookies and a bag of shortbread cookies.  The mini-cupcakes were light and so very fresh.  I love desserts with citrus in them (such as the blood orange donut at Donut Bar), and both the orange creamsicle and lemon curd cupcakes satisfied that craving.  The mini sugar cookies were as pretty as they were yummy and the ginger chew reminded me of Christmas.  I’m savoring the shortbread cookies, and I still have two more to have with tea.  Not only did I love the baked goods, but I adored the quaint decor, personal pictures on the wall, the stories behind each recipe printed and displayed, and the lovely conversation we had with the owner and her family members.  I had such a great time on Record Store Day because it was an all around spectacular sensory experience for the mind, stomach, ears and soul.  I want to thank CC for a great outing, and here’s to more to come!

Depeche Mode Live: Jimmy Kimmel & The Troubadour!

DSC00880 (2) (1280x960)

I had to move part two of my Record Store Day post to bring exciting news:  Depeche Mode will be playing today on Jimmy Kimmel Live (which will air tonight), and then The Troubadour on Friday April 26, 2013 in Los Angeles!  The Jimmel Kimmel Live show is the second time they’ve appeared, and The Troubadour show will be the smallest venue Depeche Mode have ever played in LA.  I’ve been to The Troubadour twice: I went with my beautiful friend Trudy to see Ray LaMontagne, and I worked the merchandise table for The Push Stars.  It’s been ages since I’ve been there, and I hope and pray that I will win tickets to see this intimate show.  If I won, I will definitely post pictures and give a concert review.  If you would like a chance to get tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime event, you can enter at KROQ’s official site here.  Good luck to all!

Weekend in Pictures: Record Store Day Finds

DSC01019 (2) (1280x1279)

As I mentioned in last Friday’s post, Saturday was Record Store Day.  In celebration of the day, CC (of the blog Pink Candles at Ridgemont High) and I went on our “Record Store Crawl”.  We combined indie record store shopping with good eats inbetween and had a fab time doing it!  I’ll start off with our finds, and part two will be about our food adventures.  Just as a teaser, below is a picture of how we started our morning: coffee and donuts from San Diego’s Donut Bar in Downtown, along with publications and maps of how we would plan out our day of record store hopping.  Also pictured are my 45 RPM adapter earrings (original post here) and my wallet from PopKiller.  I wore the earrings with my Sub Pop t-shirt.  Coincidentally, CC wore her 45 RPM adapter necklace (her post showcasing her necklace here), and we both received compliments throughout the day on our accessory choices.  Part of the reason that this trip was fun was because CC and I both discovered that we used to frequent the now defunct Blue Meanie Records back in the 80’s, which was one of the few places one could get imported records, magazines, pins and memorabilia because the owner used to travel to Europe on a regular basis.  I’m sure we were in Blue Meanie at the same time at some point in our teen years.

Because we started our day off so early (7:30am to line up for Donut Bar), our first stop was the San Diego Record Show at The Center.  The doors opened at 9am and we paid a $5 admission to get in.  The San Diego Record Show is a collection of independent vendors (some are store owners) selling or swapping their musical merchandise under one roof.  Most of the items are vinyl 45s and LPs, but we found CDs, DVDs, shirts, pins and even video and cassette tapes.

My first purchase was at the Record Show was from Akashic Records.  I had a wonderful and interesting discussion with David, the vendor and owner, which led to him recommending some reading material about blogging.  I ended up purchasing that Wire Train album pictured for only $4!

RSD 2013 Finds Collage 3My next purchase was five badges (pins to us Yanks) and that fantastic piece of vinyl: Joy Division’s second album, Closer from Gary (who owns Third Eye Record Shop).  The label says “1st US press on translucent brown vinyl”.  Now I have to find Unknown Pleasures.  CC found some pins to give to her daughter, and if I recall, she also bought a New Edition album for her nephew.

RSD 2013 Finds Collage 4We saw an old school cassette tape player, and I think we used to have that when I was in elementary.  I then bought those Joy Division DVDs from Steve, who is an independent vendor.

RSD 2013 Finds Collage 5My final purchase was from Mr. Skid Roper.  If you remember, he and Mojo Nixon used to make beautiful music together back in the 1980’s.  The vendor a couple of tables before Skid’s had a bunch of oldies, and I asked if they had anything by Timi Yuro (for my mum).  They said no, but when I came to Skid’s section, I found a 45 within about five minutes, and only for $1!

Our second stop was Groovy Records, which was probably just a few blocks away (I’m directionally challenged, so it may have been more, but it only took us about 5 minutes to get there by car).  When we parked, I didn’t even see the building, but CC pointed out that it was in an odd intersection, so we decided to park on a different block and walk there.  Once inside, we hit the dollar bins, then I hit up the New Wave/Punk section (I have found that these genres often get lumped together).  I loved the juxtaposition of the Public Image Ltd and Cramps posters next to the Country & Western section.  My dollar find was Live and Let Dance by The Untouchables.  I have the 45 single to “What’s Gone Wrong” which is from the same album.  As we were making our purchases, a camera man from KUSI walked in to shoot some footage.  I completely forgot to watch the news that day to see what they had filmed.  Also, the very first image in this post is from a sticker on Groovy Records’ entrance door.

Next, we attempted to go to M-Theory Music, but saw that the line went around the block.  Not willing to wait that long, we decided to head to Pacific Beach to Cow Records, because CC knew where we could grab some lunch and dessert within walking distance.  Have I mentioned how fantastically awesome it is to have a food blogger as a friend?  I’ll go into more detail about the food in my next post.  After lunch, we headed over to Thrift Trader, which I thought was just a thrift clothing store.  Inside, I saw they also had records, CDs and DVDs as well.  I didn’t look through the music as much as I looked through the clothing.  I found a couple of t-shirts and CC found a couple of shirts, so we pulled our finds together to make the $20 for four items.  It’s great that she loves a good vintage or thrift store find as much as I do!

RSD 2013 Finds Collage 7RSD 2013 Finds Collage 8We when walked next door to Cow Records, where I found many of the Record Store Day exclusives that were on the list on their official site (a few of them are pictured below).  I also found a bootleg Depeche Mode live album called Innocent and Vain (pictured above).  That title truly made me laugh.  I wasn’t sure if I wanted it, so I browsed through what they had in their Depeche Mode section, and found I had everything there except for the bootleg.  I decided against the bootleg album and instead looked around for the Sub Pop RSD compilation, which they didn’t have.  I ended up buying two Depeche Mode stickers for my car and I believe CC bought a DVD.

Still wanting the Sub Pop compilation, I checked Lou’s Records Facebook page and they mentioned that they still had quite a few RSD exclusives, so I posted a comment asking if they had the Sub Pop compilation still available.  They responded that they did, which then prompted a phone call to their store.  I asked them if they could save me a copy and that I would be in the following day to pick it up.  By the time this posts, I should have a copy in hand.  Ah Lou’s Records, you never let me down!  The last couple of pictures are all my finds for the day.  Hope you had a great weekend!

Record Store Day 2013 is Tomorrow!

?????Has it already been a year?  I can’t believe it’s Record Store Day again tomorrow!  I have a couple posts about this wonderful day back in 2011 and 2012.  Plus, I had the best Record Store Day find in 2011 with the help of Lou’s Records (pictured below, post here).  This year, CC (of Pink Candles at Ridgemont High) and I are going to do a “record store crawl” in honor of Record Store Day.  We’re going to start the day off with breakfast at The Donut Bar in Downtown, then run amuck in San Diego hitting up the indie record stores.  I know M-Theory Music has an event, so I’m sure we’ll go there as one of our many stops because it will be close to where we’ll have breakfast.  We should have our plan of attack by the time this posts, so I’ll be sure to post about our crawl.  In the meantime, here is the official list of releases for Record Store Day 2013 and a list of indie stores in California (the one’s with a “P” have taken the Record Store Day pledge).  Just keep in mind that not every release will be at all stores, and quantities are extremely limited.  Believe me, even after all of the calling and hunting, I nearly didn’t get that beauty below!
