I'll Take More Than Another River Full

IMG_4863 (2) (1213x1280)

I know they’re not new, but I have found myself completely smitten with British brand River Island lately.  I made a couple of RI purchases on ASOS, including these lovelies (prior to Ash Wednesday, as I gave up shopping for Lent).  I keep seeing the chunky sandal trend everywhere and I didn’t think I would get into it, but the large pyramid studs on this pair sealed the deal for me.  I’m so glad I snapped them up because they are now sold out, but here are links to other awesome chunky sandals under the River Island brand on their official site and ASOS.

You Comfort Me

Now that our son is four, I’m looking forward to a very busy summer.  We can finally hit the large resort parks without worrying about whether or not Dominic is going to have fun because we know he’s at that perfect age where he can run around and just enjoy himself.  Now, I just have to think of my own comfort while chasing our crazy little boy, and these shoes by Dansko are going to be the perfect solution.  I originally thought that Dansko just made professional shoes worn in the healthcare industry, but I’ve come to realize that they have an entire of line of women’s shoes including stylish clogs, flat and heeled sandals, sporty shoes and boots.  I have been living in these Jovie sandals from their Vista Collection these last two weekends, so I know that they will definitely allow me to keep up with my son (and sometimes my niece) in style and comfort.  I’ve been wearing them with shorts and jeans, but I found that because of the pewter color, they go great with dresses of any length.

Into The Gap

I was going to post my “How-To” on making greeting cards, but that’s going to have to wait until tomorrow because it’s going to take a little while to put together.  Instead, I’m going to post my latest purchase.  I’m sure you won’t mind!

I have been coveting these Pierre Hardy for Gap wedge sandals on The Glamourai for about a month (pictured left and seen here).  I didn’t realize that they just came out at the beginning of the summer.  I was looking to use a “Give & Get” coupon that my best friend sent me (she works for Banana Republic).  Feeding America gets 5% of what you spend when you use the 30% off promo code online, or the coupon in the store.  I was browsing through Piperlime.com and decided to check out Gap.com.  I found the shoes still online…and on sale!

Originally $98, they were on sale for $59.99.  With my coupon, they were just $41.  So I saved money and gave to a great cause.  And as I posted not too long ago, it’s still an endless summer for wedges (see the entry here)!
